Eid-e-Miladunnabi observed

Islamic Foundation, Kishoreganj District Unit arranged a Doa Milad , discussion, prize, crest and certificate distribution programme among the students marking the Eid-e- Miladunnabi in the district on Wednesday.
A Doa and discussion meeting was held at Collectorate Conference Room on Wednesday morning.
DC Md.Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and SP Md. Mashrokur Rahman Khaled BPM were attended the meeting while ADC (G) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil in the chair.
It was addressed among others by ADC (Edu. & ICT) Abdullah-al-Masud and Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Md. Farook Ahamed.
Gopalganj Correspondent adds: Eid-e-Miladunnabi commemorating the birth and death of prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) 1440 was observed here with due religious fervor. Rally, seminar, Islamic cultural competition, discussion meeting, Doa Mahfil to make the two day-long programme. District Administration and Islamic Foundation, Gopalganj jointly organised a discussion meeting at its office conference room in the morning on the life and works of the prophet. Speakers at the meeting urged upon all to follow the ideals of the prophet which would bring peace and prosperity of the mankind. On the occasion in the morning of the day they brought out a rally, chanting slogans & the rally paraded main roads in the city.  Alhaj Adv Sheikh Md. Abdullah, Religious Secretary, Bangladesh Awami League attended the meeting as Chief Guest. While it was addressed among others Chowdhury Imdadul Haque, Chairman, Zila Parishad, Gopalganj & President, District Awami League (AL), Gopalaganj, Md. Saidur Rahman Khan, Superintendent of Police (SP), Gopalganj, Md. Mahbub Ali Khan, General Secretary, District AL, Gopalganj, Alhaz Sheikh Md. Ruhul Amin, Senior Vice-President, District Awami League, Gopalganj, Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Bachhu, Chairman, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Pasisha & Kazi Liakat Ali Leku, Mayor, Gopalganj Pourashava were spoken on the occasion. Md Mokhlesur Rahman Sarker, Deputy Commissioner , Gopalganj presided over the function.
