Eid-e-Miladunnabi was celebrated in Saidpur on Saturday
The procession was the country’s second largest and the biggest procession of the northern part of the country. A large number of people gathered at the Railway Ground to take part in the procession. Participation of numerous people made the rally the biggest and largest. The people from outside Saidpur also gathered to observe it.
From the morning on Saturday (December 2), the partial processions from different locality, Mosque, khanqah gathered at Saidpur Railway Ground. The whole Railway Maidan was full of people celebrating the birthday of the Prophet. On the management of Anjuman-e- Gaussia Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Saidpur, the procession moved the main road of the city. Besides, the procession of Ala Hazrat Imran Ahmad Reza Foundation from Golahat with large number of people was also the attraction of the day.
In the rally , various religious and social organizations along with political people took part. Thousands of devout Muslims including Ghausia Committee, Ahlay Bait Foundation, Anjuman Ashrafia, Faizan Tegia, Azam Abu Hanifa, Anjuman Awlia, Imam Ali, including Ahsan Sunnat Wal Jamaat and different other organizations participated in this massive procession.
Upazila Chairman Moksedul Momin, Vice Chairman Ajmal Hossain, Mayor Md.Amjad Hossain Sarker, former Mayor Akhtar Hossain Badal, Former Panel Mayor Hitler Chowdhury Bholu, was present in the procession. In the beginning, the Quran was recited by the Imam and Khatib of the Historic Chini Masjid, Maulana Shahet Rezvi.
At the end of the prayer after Salato Salam, for the persecuted Muslims all over the World, President of the district unit of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Alhaj Shah Sufi Golam Jhelani Tegi, prayed for Nation’s welfare.
BSS from Rajshahi adds: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and demise of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), was observed here as elsewhere in the country with due religious fervor and solemnity on Saturday.
The colourful rally ‘JasneJulush’ brought out from city’s Saheb Bazar area at around 8:30am and ended at Shah Mukhdum Dargah Mosque after parading the main city thoroughfares.
Later, they offered a special prayer seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah for peace, progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
Special prayers, Zikir, Doa and Milad Mahfil, discussion, feeding of orphans and destitute and processions to welcome the holy Miladunnabi were the main features.
A huge procession titled “Jashne Juluch” was brought out in the city under the auspices of Gausul Azam Gausia, Talime Quran Tamauafi, EskeNabi in the morning.
Divisional office of Islamic Foundation and Imam Training Academy jointly organized a discussion highlighting the significance of the day. Shishu Academy organized a hamd-nath competition for the children in observance of the day.
Besides, important road corners and islands of the city were decorated with big size gates, colorful festoons and banners.
The other day’s programmes included discussion meeting, waz and miladmahfil and hamd and nath competition.
