Egyptian Ambassador in Dhaka Mahmoud Ezzat on Tuesday took over as the Diplomatic Corps Dean here.Prior to his forthcoming departure, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, British High Commissioner Robert W Gibson formally handed over his charge as Dean to the Egyptian Ambassador.Gibson began his tour of duty in September 2011 and will leave Bangladesh later this month.Earlier, Palestinian Ambassador Shaher Mohammad was the longest serving Ambassador and hence was the Dean of Dhaka’s Diplomatic Corps. Shaher Mohammad who had joined his work in February 2006 served here for over nine years with the Palestinian Embassy before leaving Dhaka.
