Egyptian Embassy opens condolence book

The Egyptian Embassy in Dhaka has opened a condolence book as Egypt’s Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat was recently killed in a bomb attack on his convoy.
The book will be remain open till Thursday from 10am am to 3pm at the chancery (Road -90, House – 9, Gulshan – 2), said a press release on Wednesday.
“Today, the Egyptian Embassy in Dhaka mourns Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat, who was killed after a bomb attack on his convoy. Egypt has lost a great judicial figure that has shown dedication to work and commitment to the ethics of the noble judicial profession,” said Egyptian Ambassador in Dhaka Mahmoud Ezzat. In a statement, the Egyptian Presidency described the attack as an act of terrorism and also announced the cancellation of celebrations commemorating the second anniversary of the 30th June, 2013 revolution.
