Ambassador of Egypt Mahmoud Ezzat made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here on Monday.
During the meeting with Ambassador of Egypt Mahmoud Ezzat, the President thanked him for his successful completion of assignment in Bangladesh and his efforts for expansion of relations between Bangladesh and Egypt, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
The President expressed the hope that the existing bilateral relations would be strengthened further.
Mahmoud Ezzat lauded Bangladesh’s socio-economic progress and said Bangladesh has become a role model of development in the world. He also appreciated the government’s people-oriented welfare programmes, political stability and democratic practice.
He said Bangladesh and Egypt support each other in different international issues and hoped that Bangladesh would be able to make more progress in future.
