Egypt beat Sri Lanka 6-2 in Hockey World League round 2

Egypt beat Sri Lanka by 6-2 goals in their Pool B opening match of the Hockey World League round 2 held on Saturday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city.
In the day’s match, Sayeed opened an account for Egypt in the 15th minute while Gharbran Husam increased the margin double in the 23rd minute.
Mulafar Muhammad pulled one back as he scored the first goal for Sri Lanka in the in the 41st minute while Alangar Ahmed of the winning team further widened the team’s margin scoring the third goal for Egypt in the 52nd minute.
Gharban and Adel of Egypt scored another one goal each in the 56th and 58th minutes respectively to ensure Egypt’s emphatic victory.
The African Nation Egypt will play their second match against China while Sri Lanka meet Ghana in their respective second group matches scheduled to be held today (Sunday) at the same venue.
