Sylhet Education Engineering Department has sanctioned Tk 94 cr for the development work of various colleges. Due to dilapidated building and room shortage education programme is hampered in many colleges of Sylhet. Sylhet participate the classes under risk. To transit is sylhet education engineering Department built and epand building in about 50 collages of Sylhet and Sunamgonj.
Executive Engineer Nazrul Hakim informed under the finance of ministry to expand information technology technic select non government College’s titled that scheme about 1500 College building will be built by government. Of these Sylhet Receive Tk 94 cr to develop about 50 College building and their expansion. First stage of the work was complted in 2016 At this 29 Colleges of Sylhet Complete their work, expenditure is Tk 36 cr 27 lakh. Now 2nd phase they are built vertically. Recently tender called for more 11 colleges are on way. Its cost is Tk 13 cr 28 lakh. Of them work of Tk 4/5 cr are already complited other works are continuing. In April 2016 work of 11 college building startd. It will be completed at the end of this year.
Under this project from December 2016 31 college building construction and expansion work is on going. Its cost Tk 44 cr and tender will be under process. project will be implemented phase by phase.
Assistant Engineer Anonta Bhoumik said, a government School for the long time demand of the people of Alampur is starting. Pilling work is running. building cost is TK 10 cr 83 lack. It will be completed in 2018. He said under government direction we worke relentlessly for school college Construction.
