The government has again extended the closure of all the educational institutions of the country until February 14 in order to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Education Minister Dipu Moni after consulting authorities concerned with others confirmed the matter on Friday. A press release signed by MA Khair, public relations officer of the Ministry of Education, confirmed the matter.
UNB adds: Earlier on January 15, the closure of all educational institutions was extended up to January 30.
The government shut all the schools and educational institutions on March 17 last year after the country confirmed its first Covid-19 cases on March 8.
The closure was extended several times, most recently until January 30 this year to protect the students from the deadly infections.
During this extended period, students will have to continue their study staying at home, the media release added.
