The government has decided to reopen schools and colleges after Eid-ul-Fitr due to the rise of coronavirus cases in the country. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni came up with the development on Thursday noon.
Earlier, the government announced that all schools and colleges will be reopening on March 30. On Wednesday, the Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education Mahbub Hossain said that the government has overturned its decision to reopen schools and colleges on March 30 due to the holiday of Shabe Barat. For this reason, the school-college will not be opened on that day.
According to the relevant sources, the holly Ramadan may start on April 15. Schools and colleges are usually closed during the month of Ramadan. Besides, it has been announced to open universities from May 24 and the hall from May 17 after the Eid holiday. In that case, if the corona situation improves in the coming days, schools and colleges may be reopened along with the university after Eid.
