A daylong Education UK Exhibition-2015 was held on Sunday at Hotel Peninsula in the port city aiming at opening the opportunities of higher studies at renowned higher education institutions in the UK.
British Council in Chittagong organized the event, where a total of 13 leading educational institutions of UK took part.
City Mayor M Monzur Alam inaugurated the fair and spoke at the inaugural function as the chief guest while assistant director (Program) of British council and a number of academics involved with different foreign universities spoke.
Hundreds of visitors thronged the venue to learn about study opportunities in the UK.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Monzur Alam said such education exhibition will help Bangladeshi students to get the opportunities of higher studies in different renowned education institutions in the UK.
He said there is no alternative to attaining quality education to survive in this competitive world and students must know beforehand about the facilities offered by various educational institutions before going abroad.
Later, the chief guest visited some stalls of the fair and inquired about the educational facilities showcased by the universities.
