Education top priority sector of Govt: Mannan

State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan on Friday said the government has been implementing various programmes for the development of education because it is the government’s top priority sector. He said the country is going ahead as per the ‘Vision-2041’ of the government and urged all including students, teachers and guardians to extend cooperation to the government in implanting this vision.
The state minister said this on Friday while speaking as chief guest at a function organized by Sunamganj Samity, Dhaka to accord reception to students who got GPA-5 in the HSC examination in 2014.
Presided over by president of the Samity and joint secretary of jute and textile ministry Mizanur Rahman, it was addressed, among others, by vice-chancellor of Sylhet Shahjalal Science and Technology University Dr Aminul Haq Bhuiyan, former education secretary Dr Md Sadek, Sunamganj Zila Council administrator Barrister M Enamul Kabir, deputy commissioner Sheikh Rafiqul Islam and police super Md Harun-or-Rashid.
General Secretary of Sunamgaj Samity Dr Md Abul Kalam Chowdhury conducted the function. The guests handed over crest to 153 students.
