Dhaka Education Board and Navy team confirmed their semifinals berth of the ATN Bangla 31st National Hockey Gold Cup eliminating their respective group rivals at Maulana Bhashani National Stadium on Saturday. Dhaka Education Board beat Bangladesh Police by 5-1 goals in the Group ‘A’ quarterfinal.
Debashish scored two goals for the winners while Promod Dewan, Shaon Sheikh and Porimol Mardi scored one goals each.
Mahfuzur Rahman scored one goal for the losing side.
In the Group B quarterfinal, Navy defeated Air force also by 5-1 goals.
Krishno Kumar Das scored two goals for the winners while Russell Mahmud Jimmy, Deen Islam Emon and Roman Sarkar netted one goal each.
Ashique Mahmud scored one goal for the losing side.
In the remaining Group ‘A’ quarterfinal, Dhaka District will play against Mymensingh District at 2pm at the same venue on Sunday.
Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) will face Army in the Group ‘B’ quarterfinal starting at 4 pm also at Bhashani Stadium on Sunday.
