Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said the government is restructuring the existing education system to make skilled workforce with ICT knowledge to ensure better access to job markets.”We are incorporating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in our education system to develop competent human resources,” he told a workshop on “ICT in education master plan review” in the conference room of National Academy for Education Management Academy (NAEM) here on Saturday. Education Secretary Dr Mohammad Sadiq, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Ganendra Nath Biswas and senior officials of different organizations, among others, were present at the meeting.
Nahid said the government has taken steps to formulate ICT master plan in the education system to build a technologically advanced country. As part of the move, ICT education has been already made compulsory in different classes, he said adding, “IT is urgent to introduce ICT based education for ensuring better future of our children.”
