Election Commission (EC) will hold an emergency meeting today with law enforcers to discuss and evaluate the situation in Rajshahi, Sylhet and Barishal City Corporations areas.
The meeting will begin at 4 pm in the city’s Agargaon office. Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi, Barishal and Sylhet and three Metropolitan Police Commissioners have been invited. A notification issued by EC Joint Secretary (Election Management-2) Farhad Ahmad Khan has requested them to take part in the meeting.
The Commission meets once only with the law enforcers on the occasion of the election of local government bodies, but this time the Commission is going to hold meeting twice.
