The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) on Tuesday approved the construction of small bridges and culverts (up to 12 metres) on rural roads across the country with an estimated cost of Tk 3,684.36 crore, aiming to further improve the rural communications system.
The approval was given at the 22nd Ecnec meeting of the current fiscal year held at the NEC conference room with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
