Returning officer for Chittagong City Corporation(CCC) polls has asked the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner to remove Mainul Islam Bhuyan Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulshi thana within 24 hours.
Election Commission sources said the returning officer sent a letter to CMP commissioner to remove Khulshi thana OC as he is accused of many controversies. “Bhuyan should not be engaged in any election-related duty and he should be replaced by an honest and competent officer whose integrity is not questionable, Baten added in his letter.
