A battery-run easy bike driver was chopped to death by miscreants at Bibir Bazar in Sadar upazila early Saturday.
Police said a group of miscreants swooped driver Akkas, 55, a resident of Pathuria para in the upazila, and chopped him with sharp weapons indiscrimily when he was taking his autorickshaw to Bibir Bazar area for repiring, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Abu Salam Miah said they arrested two people for thier alleged involvemt in the killing.
