Eastern Bank Ltd organised a children art competition titled ‘Chobir Deshe Ronger Beshe’ for the children of their customers at Bank’s Gulshan North Branch premises on Friday.
About 100 children took par in the competition in two age groups. Children in the ‘Butterfly’ group aged between 6 and 9 years painted on the subject ‘My Neighborhood’, while for the children in the ‘Rainbow’ group of age between 9 and 12 years the subject was ‘Climate Change’. 6 best performers, three for each group were awarded by the EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar. All the participating children received specials certificates.
Renowned Artists Hashem Khan, Nissar Hossain and Abu Barq Alvi conducted the judgment in the art competition.
EBL plans to organise a 3-day long exhibition of best 40 paintings by the children at a city’s art gallery in near future. The event was organised as part of EBL’s People Engagement Initiative.
