A social development organisatuib ub Chittagong named ‘ Fight for Womens’ protested the early marriage of girl .
A discussion meeting was heldwith its President Advocate Rehana Begum Ranu in the chair. Former Ministesr for primary education Dr. Afsarul Amin MP graced the occasionas chief guest. The chief guest in his deliverations said present govt is a women friendly one and playing effective role for empowerment of women. Present govt is playing epoch making role for the development of women folk in the country.
The speakers in the discussion meet urged the govt to enact laws to resist early marriage wtih severe punishment. Prosecutorof International War Crimes Tribunal Advocate Rana Dasgupta inaugurated the discussions as moderator.
Among others writer and analyst Arshad Siddiqui , poet Akhtari Islam,Dr. Parul Begum, Advocate Luna, Women leader Bibi Joynab spoke on the occasion.
