Land Secretary Md Mustafizur Rahman said that a complete cashless e-Mutation system will be ensured across the country from October.
The Secretary said this while giving a speech on the modernization of land management during an internal meeting of the Ministry of Land in the Secretariat on Wednesday.
He said, Record correction and Record of Rights (ROR) supply fees are planned to be collected online only after approval of mutation; exactly like the e-Mutation application and notice fee to minimize citizens’ suffering and avoid complications.
“Record correction and ROR fee will no longer be paid manually (in cash) after the approval of mutation from September 30 onwards. We have already issued a circular in this regard,” he said.
The Secretary said, “We want to ensure that no one spends more than Tk 1,170 for the mutation. Besides, we will not charge any fee for correcting any errors in the DCR and ROR.”
Land Appeal Board Chairman Dr. Amitabh Sarkar, Land Reform Board Chairman Soleman Khan and officials of different ministries and departments were present at the meeting.
