Communication Minister Obaidul Quader said introduction of electronic system would make offices gradually paperless.
Besides, it would improve transparency and accountability of government offices.
The minister was inaugurating the e-filing system at the Communication Ministry.
“Henceforth the Road Division would start filing electronically’, the minister announced.
Initially, five sections of the division would be involved in the new process. They are: maintenance, administration, estate, discipline and ICT.
The program is being introduced with assistance of the access to information (a2i) program of the prime minister’s office.
The minister said the new system would make receipt and dispatch quick and easy.
He said that all details regarding documents would be programmed making it easier for monitoring.
