The e-Commerce Revolution masterclass, a world class training, has been launched online on Sunday creating an opportunity for the women to build themselves as entrepreneurs.
Women and e-Commerce (WE), a forum for the women entrepreneurs in partnership with ICT Division and LICT Project, has launched the masterclass aimed at boosting e-commerce business across the country.
Inaugurating the day-long e-Commerce Revolution masterclass, LICT Project Director Md Rezaul Karim said the government has been developing skills and encouraging youths’ women to be entrepreneurs instead of looking for jobs.
With the building of digital infrastructure e-Commerce has been growing very fast across the country and this is the time for them to be entrepreneurs, he said, adding that women members of WE Forum can avail this opportunity.
Rezaul Karim said relying on technologies and increasing social media penetration have increased opportunity for the women entrepreneurship of Bangladesh.
Founder and President of WE Nasima Akter Nisha, President and CEO of Silkoak Global Limited Saumya Basu, Founder of Search English Razib Ahmed and Adviser of WE Jahanoor Kabir Sakib spoke at the function.
