Readers' Forum: Dysfunctional BFF

block
Bangladesh U-23 National team lost to Jordan by 0-7 goals in the qualifying round of the AFC Under-23 Championship in Palestine on Wednesday. Before that, Bangladesh team lost to Nepal 0-1 and to Qatar 0-3 in the two friendly matches, which exposed Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officials’ addiction to hibernation. They have no idea about the strength of the other countries of the continent. They, rather talk, big, give hollow promises, and stare at the FIFA for fund.
Though an attempt was taken in Chittagong in 2015 to bring back football’s popularity in the country, it failed because of the stillness of the Ministry of Sports and the BFF. In this regard, we think that an international tournament with just three or four national teams, including Asia No. I Iran and Asia Cup runners up South Korea, will be much helpful than holding a club tournament with more than half a dozen teams from home and abroad.
Will the BFF rise from hibernation to save country’s football from holocaust?
