Dhaka WASA will set up water supply network in recently added 16 unions under two city corporations. In this regards, a contract is signed on Monday between Dhaka WASA and Institute of Water Modelling (IWM). IWM will complete the study by 30 September, 2018 for next course of actions. The unions are- Badda, Beraid, Bhatara, Dakshinkhan, Dumni, Harirampur, Satarkul and Uttarkhan in North City Corporation and Dakshingaon, Derma, Dhania, Manda, Matuail, Nasirabad, Sarulia and Shyampur union of South City Corporation. Managing Director of Dhaka WASA Engr. Taqsem A Khan, IWM Executive Director Dr. Monowar Hossain and other high officials from both the organisations were present in the signing ceremony.
On behalf of Dhaka WASA its Additional Chief Engineer and Project Director of Interim Water Supply Project Md Akhtaruzzaman and water Resource Planning Director of IWM SM Mahbubur Rahman signed the contract.
