The new budget has proposed cutting supplementary duties on most cars, which may cause their prices to drop.
Cars ranging from 1,750 to 2,000 cc will see their supplementary duties cut from 150 percent to 100 percent. A supplementary duty cut from 250 percent to 200 percent proposed in the new budget will make cars from 2001 to 2750 cc cheaper as well. Hybrid cars, however, will see their prices go up, as will microbuses and pickups.
