UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, Queen Maximahas praised the initiatives of Bangladesh Government to include all people in the financial development process.
The Dutch Queen left Dhaka on Friday dawn wrapping up her three-day visit. Before departure she expressed her interest to support the government’s development priorities in future.
She met Chair of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry
of Finance Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Thursday and discussed the related development issues, said a media release on Friday.
The both sides also underlined the excellent bilateral relations between Bangladesh and The Netherlands. The issue of future cooperation between the two countries was also discussed.
The meeting between Queen Maxima and a high-level delegation from Ministry of Finance led by Mahmood Ali was held in a city hotel. In the meeting, Ali highlighted the government’s initiatives and successes towards inclusion of people from all segments in the financial activities and development process.
He particularly emphasised the government’s vision 2021 and 2041 and the success in digitalisation. He described how the ‘Digital Bangladesh’ concept is helping inclusive financial development in the country.
