Netherlands (Dutch) has shown interest to import plastic products from Bangladesh, said Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed.
The minister said this to the reporters after completing a meeting with the newly appointed Netherland Ambassador in Dhaka Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere at his office in the city on Monday. There is a huge demand of country’s readymade garment and plastic products, medicine, shrimp in the market of Netherland.
The Netherland Ambassador said, Bangladesh is the second largest export country for exporting manufacturing products. Netherland is assisting Bangladesh for implementing many development projects. The trade relation between Bangladesh and Netherland would increase in future, expected the ambassador.
Additional Secretay for Commerce Ministry Monoj Kumar Roy was present at the meeting.
