Dutch envoy for boosting trade ties with Bangladesh

Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI) organized a welcome reception for Dutch Ambassador to Dhaka Harry Verweij on Thursday.
Speaking at the function at a city hotel, Ambassador Harry extended thanks to all concerned stakeholders for promotion and development of bilateral trade and commerce, said a DBCCI press release on Saturday.
Focusing on the business growth in Bangladesh, the Dutch Ambassador underscored the need for boosting trade and economic ties between the Netherlands and Bangladesh and assured his best support in the coming days.
Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Kazi M. Aminul Islam highlighted the investment environment in Bangladesh.
DBCCI President Faruque Hassan mentioned the significant contribution of the Netherlands to Bangladesh in textile and RMG, infrastructure, agriculture, river administration, skilled development and other government projects, specially, the Delta Plan 2100.
Former President of DBCCI and Honorary Consul of Chile in Dhaka Asif A. Chowdhury thanked Ambassador Harry and assured his cooperation.
Foreign Embassy representatives, Presidents of national and bilateral Chambers and Associations, other government high officials, CEOs and Directors of different MNCs and prominent local companies and distinguished DBCCI Members, Directors and former Presidents were present, among others, in the event.
