A two-day trade fair titled ‘Dutch-Bangla Expo-2016’ will be held in the Netherlands on September 28-29 September aiming to strengthen trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Bangladesh Embassy to the Netherlands and Dutch Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) will jointly host the fair at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The DBCCI leaders reviewed the preparations ahead of the fair on Tuesday evening followed by an iftar mahfil at a city restaurant.
The Expo is patronised by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka.
Director General (Europe) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khastagir focused on the possibility of the business in the Netherlands for Bangladeshi exporters, said a press release.
DBCCI president Khaled highlighted the upcoming event and its various features.
First Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka Lisette Blüm expressed her gratitude to DBCCI for the Chamber’s activities to strengthen bilateral trade between the Netherlands and Bangladesh.
Representatives of the Board of Investment (BOI), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), DBCCI Vice President Md. Atiqul Haque, Secretary General Altaf Hossain Biswas and presidents of various bilateral trade bodies were present.
