The orientation program for the Masters 12th Batch students of the Japan Study Centre (JSC) of Dhaka University (DU) was held today (Tuesday) November 3, 2015 at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university. Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh Masato Watanabe addressed the function as chief guest.
Director of the JSC Prof. Dr. Abul Barkat presided over the function while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad addressed it as special guest.
Japanese Ambassador Masato Watanabe said the friendly ties between Bangladesh and Japan has been prevailing for long-year. He stressed the need for strengthening this bi-lateral relationship between the two countries.
He thanked the Japan Study Centre of DU for playing an effective role to promote Japanese history, culture and education. Japanese government will provide more scholarships for Dhaka University students to higher study in Japan, he added.
