The Dhaka University’s committee to address complaints of sexual harassment has been reorganized on Tuesday ( Sept 30) at a meeting of the DU Syndicate chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique.
The committee has been reorganized as per the directives of the High Court division of the Supreme Court, said a DU press release.
Prof Dr Nasrin Ahmad, pro-vice-chancellor (education) has been appointed convener of the committee while the members are assistant professor of the DU English Department Nilima Akhter, lecturer of the Marketing Department Afrin Chowdhury, Prof Mahfuza Khanam and Advocate Syed Rezaur Rahman.
Any student, affected by any sexual harassment and repression, can directly lodge their complaints to the convener of the committee, the press release mentioned.
