Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism Department Alumni Association (DUMCJAA) will form a human chain today on the campus protesting misleading news in some media against the public university.
DUMCJAA General Secretary Professor Mofizur Rahman told that the human chain would be formed on the premises of Aparajeyo Bangla at 12noon.
He said the programme has been arranged in the backdrop some confusing reports published in the media regarding the recent university VC panel election. A call will be made from the human chain to the mass media for abiding by the principles of objective journalism in the country, he added.
He requested all teachers and students of the university to participate in the programme and raise voice protesting propaganda against the DU.
A face book group has already launched a campaign to make the programme successful.
