The Janokantho Unit of the Dhaka Union of journalists (DUJ ) was formed at the Bengali daily the Janokantho at a general meeting at its office with Shamsar Syed in the chair on Friday , says a press release.
Journalists Rajon Bhattacharjo and Palash Chandra Das have been elected Unit Chief and Deputy Unit Chief respectively of the newly formed unit .
Abu Jafar Surjo and Sohel Haider Chowdhury , President and General Secretary of DUJ were present as Chief and special guests at the meeting .
