Staff Reporter :BNP chairperson’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu was arrested on Sunday. Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested him from Mirpur area in the city in the evening when he was going to take part in a function in the area, BNP’s press wing confirmed the news. Deputy Commissioner of the DB police told media that Shamsuzzaman Dudu was taken to the DB headquarters in the city after his arrest. He, however, did not clear immediately that on what charge Dudu was arrested. Earlier, two other senior leaders of the party– BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party vice chairman Shamser Mobin Chowdhury–were arrested after beginning of the ongoing blockade programme.
