BNP on Tuesday termed unusual the results of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and feared an election engineering by the ‘ruling quarter’.
“The results are unusual with many inconsistencies. It can be said a day or two whether election engineering was carried out by the Prime Minister’s Office or its any blueprint was implemented at VC’s residence,” said BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. He came up with the comments while speaking at a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.
The BNP leader said elections to student organisations are held through panels from VP to members, and all the members of a panel face close contests. “But there’re big differences of votes among the VP and GS candidates of quota reform panel and that of Chhatra League in the Ducsu polls. We can call it unusual.”
