Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided not to adopt the uniform admission test — formulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) — to enroll students expected to begin from the 2020-21 academic session.
The decision came from the Academic Council Meeting held at the Senate Building of the University with DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor M Akhtaruzzman in the chair on Monday afternoon.
The University will enroll students through its own admission test process like before, the teachers added.
Earlier, on January 23, University Grants Commission (UGC) in a meeting decided that a uniform admission test will be held from next academic year to enroll students at all public universities in Bangladesh.
Wishing anonymity, teachers present in the meeting confirmed the information.
