Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Wednesday left Dhaka for Kathmandu, Nepal on a four-day official visit to attend the 45th convocation of Tribhuvan University (TU) scheduled to be held today.
Prime Minister of Nepal and Chancellor of Tribhuvan University KP Sharma Oli will preside over the convocation ceremony while DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman will be present there as the chief guest, said a press release. The convocation function will also be addressed by Vice-Chancellor of TU Prof. Dr. Dharma K. Baskota.
Authorities of Tribhuvan University hoped that DU VC’s visit to the university would provide thrust to explore possibilities of collaboration and cooperation for academic enhancement for both the universities, the release added.
Akhtaruzzaman is expected to return home on Saturday.
