Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University (DU) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman expressed profound shock at the death of former Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) and one of the accused in the Agartala Conspiracy Case Colonel (retd) Shawkat Ali.
In a message of condolence on Monday, Prof Akhtaruzzaman said the country lost an eminent freedom fighter, front-fighter of the Liberation War and a social worker at his death.
