Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday expressed deep shock at the death of AFM Mohitul Islam, the plaintiff of the Bangabandhu murder case.
In a message of condolence, he said, the contribution of Mohitul to the nation was very significant and the nation would always remember him as a patriot.
“He became close associate with the family of Bangabandhu while performing duty as the personal assistant of the then President Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and witnessed to the 1975 carnage,” the DU VC added.
He conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
