Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Saturday expressed profound shock at the death of National Professor and renowned physician M R Khan.
In a message of condolence, recalling M R khan’s contribution in the field of medical science the VC said, his death is irreparable loss to the country’s medical sector. In his lifetime, he served the poor and set up a hospital at Dhanmondi.
The VC also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his family members.
M R Khan breathed his last at 4:25pm in the capital’s central hospital on Saturday. He was 88. M R Khan was suffering from various old age complications and was undergoing treatment there.
