Dhaka University (DU) will stage anti-terrorism demonstration to raise mass awareness against terrorism and militancy on July 25 on the campus in the wake of two recent deadly terror attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia in the country.
The decision was taken at a meeting on “responsibilities to uproot terrorism and militancy” chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the university.
“Mass resistance should be built against terrorism and militancy. All from their respective positions should contribute to create awareness. Teachers and guardians should play a responsible role to guide the young generation to keep them in the right track,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
Prof Arefin called upon the professionals, social and political leaders to come forward to protect the country from the venomous bite of terrorism.
