The Dhaka University (DU) authorities will remember the mourning day of October 15, popularly known Jagannath Hall tragedy day, today ( Monday) in a befitting manner.
The day is observed every year to pay homage to the memory of the students, employees and guests, who were killed in a tragic accident in Jagannath Hall on the fateful night of 15th October, 1985.
On that night, the roof of the dilapidated building of the Jagannath Hall TV room collapsed, leaving 39 students, guests and employees of the University dead and hundreds others injured.
