Dhaka University will observe National Mourning Day on August 15 marking the 41st martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, through various programmes.
The programmes include hoisting national flag half-mast and raising black flag on top of all buildings and residential halls, procession towards Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at 8 am to place wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu, holding a discussion meeting at TSC auditorium at 10 am and organizing an art completion for children by the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Besides, milad mahfils will be held at DU Masjidul Jamiya and other mosques at halls and residential areas seeking salvation for the departed souls of the martyrs.
Special prayers will be held at places of worship belonging to other religions.
