The 100th founding anniversary of country’s premier Dhaka University (DU) will be celebrated through symbolic programmes.
Due to the deteriorating situation of Covid-19, university authorities decided not to hold any kind of programme in-person, said a DU press release on Tuesday.
As part of symbolic programmes, a virtual discussion will be held marking university’s 100th founding anniversary on July 1 at 4:00 pm, with Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
Language Movement hero and Columnist Abdul Gaffar Choudhury will present the key note speech on ‘Centenary of Dhaka University: Looking Back’ as chief guest in the discussion.
Major programmes marking the centenary of the university will be held on November 1, with amid enthusiasms and festivity, read the press release.
