DU teachers urge Myanmar to take back Rohingyas

Dhaka University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) on Tuesday condemned the persecution of Rohingyas at Rakhine state in Myanmar and called upon the Myanmar government to take back the Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh.
The DUTA made the call in a statement signed by its President Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and General Secretary Prof Dr. Md Rahmat Ullah.
They supported the initiatives taken by the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over the Rohingya issue.
They urged the Myanmar government to behave with Bangladesh like a good neighbor.
Condemning the persecution of Rohingyas, DU Teachers urged the Myanmar government to implement the recommendations of Kofi Annan Commission to resolve the Rohingya crisis.
