The students of Marketing Department of Dhaka University on Wednesday formed a human chain, protesting the murder of their fellow Sujon Mridha at the foot of Raju Sclupture on the campus.
Sujon was shot by police during the Union Parishad election at Madaripur Sadar on March 31.
The protesters demanded a proper investigation
and exemplary punishment to the guilty. They also demanded withdrawal of the case filed against family members of Sujon. The protesters demanded compensation and proper security for Sujon’s family. `We also think that DU VC and Business Faculty Dean will respond positively,’ they said.
Saykot Kumar Riki, convener of the movement and marketing department student, said, they will be continuing the movement for demanding trial of the killers of Sujon.
Meanwhile, the students formed a human chain in front the National Museum in the afternoon demanding trial of the murderers of Sujon.
