A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Dhaka (DU) and the GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh on Monday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office on the campus.
Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin and Executive Director of GreenTech Foundation Lutfor Rahman signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions, said a DU press release.
Vice-Chancellor of DU Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Director of IBA Professor Dr AKM Saiful Majid, Director of IE Professor Dr Saiful Huque, Chairman of GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh Dr Abdul Majid, Vice-Chairman Pradip Kumar Dutta and Acting Registrar of DU Md Enamuzzaman were present, among others, on the occasion.
Dhaka University and GreenTech Foundation Bangladesh would work together to develop renewable energy technology in the country under the agreement.
The collaborative initiatives include-conducting joint research activities on various environmental issues including renewable energy, green technology and low-carbon development.
Besides, the two institutions will jointly organize workshop, seminar, symposium, conference and roundtable discussion on renewable energy, green industrialization and various environmental issues.
