A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Institute of Energy of Dhaka University (DU) and Future Carbon Limited (FCL), a UK based international organization to work together to make energy efficient improved cooking stoves (ICS) and conduct joint research activities in this regard.
DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) DU Professor Shahid Akhtar Hossain and Director of FCL Raden Siddiqui signed the MoU on behalf of the respective institutions at a function at the VC’s office of the university on Tuesday.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Director of Institute of Energy Professor Saiful Haque and Acting Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman were present on the occasion.
The two institutions will also jointly organize conferences, technological seminars and workshops on renewable energy.
They will exchange officials and researchers between the two parties.
Besides, DU and FCL will exchange information and share knowledge and experiences in the various fields including renewable energy education.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Arefin thanked the FCL authorities for signing the MoU.
He also hoped that DU and FCL would work together for socio-economic development of general people of the country.
