University of Dhaka (DU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Copenhagen, Denmark on Tuesday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of the DU.
DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md. Kamal Uddin signed the MoU on behalf of his respective institution.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Prof Dr Md Imdadul Hoque, Chairperson of the Department of Microbiology Prof Dr Mahmuda Yasmin, Prof Dr Anowara Begum, Acting Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman and Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health of University of Copenhagen Dr Peter K Mackie Jensen were present on the occasion.
According to the MoU, DU and University of Copenhagen will organize a joint PhD degree program. PhD students will be enrolled in both institutions, with either University of Copenhagen or University of Dhaka taking the role of host institution. PhD students will only pay tuition fee at the host institution.
The tuition fee of the partner institution will be wavered.
