DU reschedules admission test, begins from Oct 1

The admission tests for undergraduate programmes under different units at Dhaka University have been rescheduled due to the deteriorating situation of Covid-19 in the country.
The entry test of the university under the 2020-21 academic session will begin from October 1 with the test of ‘Ka’ (A) unit which was supposed to commence from July 31, DU Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani told media.
The admission test of ‘Kha’ unit will be held on October 2, ‘Ga’ unit on October 22, ‘Gha’ unit on October 23 and ‘Cha’ unit (drawing) on October 9.
The decision came from an emergency Dean’s committee meeting held on Tuesday afternoon virtually, with Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
This year, the examinations will be held for a total of 120 marks, out of which MCQs will carry 60 marks and written part will carry 40 and there will be 20 marks for the results of SSC and HSC this year.
Admit cards can be downloaded from September 11 to 30 minutes before the examinations.
